Fiercely Free Friday

How many of you have experienced feelings of being stuck and simply not feeling good enough? I recall reading an article that stated that 60 percent of women share hurtful, self-critical thoughts every week. Wow, that's huge! Imagine the effect insecurity has on our happiness. Comparing ourselves to others will contribute to such feelings. Insecurity is that ugly, underlying emotion that overwhelmingly shapes our self-image and influences our behavior.

Many life experiences shape what I like to call our cynical inner critic. Often, they are cultivated from negative experiences we may have had as children. If there are no positive replacement thoughts, we internalize these beliefs, which become part of who we believe ourselves to be.

If you have or are struggling with insecurity or lack of confidence, I lovingly want to remind you - my fiercely free sisters - to STOP comparing yourselves to others and live a life of purpose. You're Unique! You're Resilient! You Matter! And You're Good, ENOUGH! No matter where you are in life, appreciate where YOU are on your journey to where you want to be.
