"You are not what happened to you. You are who you choose to become."
What if your past is not the problem—but your perspective of it is? We’ve all been there. Standing at the crossroads between what was and what could be, wondering if we have the strength to keep going. For me, that moment came when life threw a curveball that shook me to my core. I had a choice—stay stuck in what happened or shift my perspective and walk forward in faith.
I remember reading a scripture I had highlighted years before: “I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten.” (Joel 2:25) It hit differently this time. Could it be that God wasn’t just talking about physical restoration, but also the restoration of my faith, my joy, my purpose?
Living What We Read Means Walking It Out
We often read inspiring words, but do we believe them enough to act on them? Living what we read means:
Choosing faith over fear – Not just reading about courage, but stepping out even when we’re scared.
Seeing purpose in pain – Not just quoting Romans 8:28, but trusting that even the hard seasons are working for our good.
Walking in hope, not hesitation – Not just saying we believe, but making decisions that reflect that belief.
Moving Forward Isn’t About Forgetting—It’s About Redefining
What happened may have shaped you, but it doesn’t define you. Instead of seeing the past as a weight, let it be a launching pad. Take the lessons, take the strength, take the faith, and walk into your next chapter with boldness.
Because, sis, you were never meant to just survive—you were created to thrive.
Let’s live what we read. Let’s walk in purpose. And let’s move forward—unapologetically.
With Grace and Purpose,
