Pearls of Wisdom: Purposely Positioned!

I so love how our God moves by His Spirit. Learning the discipline of being still and trusting God’s will for our lives requires voluntary humility. It is not contingent upon our education, our positions, or our resources. It is, however, contingent upon a spirit of obedience.

I recently observed powerful teaching about the fruit of the Spirit, followed by a lesson on appreciating the value of thorns. As I listened to both teachings, I felt the Lord propelling me to share insights about the spirit of meekness. Humility is a spirit of gentleness and self-control that is subject to the Holy Spirit's discipline.

Perhaps you might find yourself in a position requiring you to exercise meekness due to an act of unfairness or injustice. Be encouraged by the truth that meekness empowers you to purposely forgive those who have hurt you by relying on God’s help. Obedience to God allows you to maintain self-control regardless of difficulty or opposition.

“Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.” - Matthew 5:5

A quiet spirit calms our inner man and matures our humility.
