There are seasons in life that stretch us in ways we never expected. Seasons where we are waiting for clarity. Waiting for healing. Waiting for change. Waiting for the next opportunity. Waiting for doors to open. Waiting for life to make sense again. And if we are honest, waiting can feel uncomfortable. We live in a world that celebrates fast results, instant responses, and visible success. Yet some of the most transformative moments in a woman’s life happen quietly...in the in-between spaces where growth is taking place beneath the surface.
Recently, while reflecting on Isaiah 40, I was reminded that even strong women get weary. Even faith-filled women experience moments of uncertainty. Even leaders wrestle with questions while trying to remain steady for everyone around them. What encouraged me most is that waiting is not presented as weakness. It is presented as a place where strength can be renewed.
That perspective changes everything. I have come to realize that some of the greatest leadership lessons are learned in seasons of waiting. Not because waiting is easy, but because waiting reveals what is being developed within us. Patience. Resilience. Emotional maturity. Wisdom. Trust. Perspective.
Many women are carrying responsibilities while simultaneously carrying unanswered questions. They are showing up for their families, careers, ministries, businesses, communities, and relationships while privately navigating seasons that require endurance. And yet, there is something powerful about women who continue to move with grace while still becoming.
That is what Leadership UnWrapped is truly about. It's about revealing the heart, strength, and purpose of women who lead. Not just in moments of visibility, but also in seasons of stretching. It is about recognizing that leadership is not only formed on stages or in celebrations. Leadership is also formed in private decisions, difficult transitions, quiet perseverance, and the courage to keep going when the outcome is still unfolding.
Waiting doesn't mean life has stopped. It doesn't mean purpose has disappeared.
And it certainly doesn't mean you have been forgotten.
Sometimes waiting is preparation. Sometimes waiting is protection. And sometimes, waiting is the space where clarity, confidence, and capacity are being built. And perhaps one of the greatest acts of strength is learning how to remain hopeful while the process is still unfolding.
Here are three Powerful Takeaways for Women in Waiting Seasons
1. Waiting Is Not Wasted: Growth often happens before results become visible. Just because something has not fully unfolded yet does not mean progress is not taking place. Some of the most meaningful transformation happens internally first.
2. Strength Can Be Renewed: Women spend so much time pouring into others that they sometimes forget they also need renewal. Waiting seasons invite us to pause, reflect, reset, and reconnect with what truly matters instead of constantly striving.
3. Your Becoming Matters as Much as Your Arrival: Many women focus so heavily on reaching the destination that they overlook who they are becoming in the process. Character, wisdom, emotional health, and resilience are part of the journey too.
As women, mothers, daughters, leaders, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and visionaries, we are all navigating some form of waiting. But perhaps the goal is not simply to rush through those seasons, but to grow through them. And maybe that is where true strength is found. Not in having all the answers. Not in controlling every outcome.
But in continuing to move forward with grace, wisdom, and hope while the story is still unfolding.
Because the truth is…some of the strongest women you know are still waiting for certain things too. They’ve just learned not to lose themselves in the process.
And that matters.
