1 John 5:14 says, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” In this life, we will continuously be challenged with doubts, wondering if God hears us, which for some may cause worry and ultimately manifest the underlining root cause, which is fear. Even David, a man after God’s own heart, faced fear.
As we reflect on our asking, we must examine whether it is in God’s will or ours. If it is in His will, there is an appointed time for EVERYTHING. Get this - God desires that we ask in faith, with might I add, the understanding that we do not believe in Him for something. But instead, our hope is anchored in believing in Someone! May I encourage you never to doubt God’s ability to hear prayers aligned with His will for our lives. Don’t try to go ahead of Him by taking matters into your hands as He doesn’t need your help. Don’t move out on what He has called you to do without His instruction. Instead, be still, trust God, and watch Him move on your behalf. He hears you; the question is, do you listen to Him?
